Sheffield United must overcome Yorkshire rivals Huddersfield Town in the League One play-off final if they are to join Steel City neighbours Wednesday in the Championship next term.

Match odds (90 minutes play)
Sheffield United – 17/10 (BetVictor)
Draw – 12/5 (Bet365)
Huddersfield – 9/5 (Blue Square)

And the biggest threat to the likelihood of the Sheffield derby again being played in 2012-13 surely comes from Huddersfield’s 40-goal striker Jordan Rhodes.

But United manager Danny Wilson has warned his team there is much more to the Terriers than just Rhodes, who is 4/1 to score the first goal with Paddy Power.

Although the Blades are coming up against the leading scorer in English football this season at Wembley, Wilson does not buy into the theory that you only have to keep him quiet to get the better of Simon Grayson's side.

“It's a nip-and-tuck game,” Wilson said. “There are two good teams going into a game which either could win if I'm perfectly honest.

“You can't look beyond him (Rhodes), with 40 goals you'd be foolish to think otherwise, but they have other match-winners in their side and we are not daft enough to think we only have to wrap up one player.

“They are a good side. They have lots of attributes to their team. They have good strength, good discipline, goalscorers in other departments. There are threats coming from all over.

“We must defend well, but we did at their place in February and won 1-0. To keep Rhodes quiet that night was a major effort from everyone and we will have to do the same.”

United had their own goal machine for much of the season in Ched Evans, but after he was jailed for rape their automatic promotion bid fell apart and they have had to go the play-off route.

But Huddersfield winger Danny Ward is another man who does not subscribe to the notion that the opposition is a one-man team.

“They have lost their main striker but they still have a great side,” said Ward. “We’ve watched them in both their play-off games, but I prefer to focus on my own game and worry about the job I've got to do.

“Obviously it's a massive loss for them, but we've got to focus on our own game and hopefully Jordan will keep firing. I'm sure he will.”
