Portsmouth supporters will have had mixed emotions at Harry Redknapp's win in court this week. The 64-year-old led Pompy to an FA Cup win in 2008 and brought in arguably the best players the club have ever had during his two spells at Fratton Park but he left them financially ruined after giving huge contracts to big name players.

Nwankwo Kanu, who scored the winner in the FA Cup final, is still at the club and it is 12/1 at bet365 that the veteran Nigerian scores the opener against Blackpool on Saturday evening. Unfortunately the rest of the squad is really lacking in class with administration having decimated the playing staff. Manager Michael Appleton is working with one of the smallest squads in the Championship and it is actually something of a surprise that Portsmouth are not currently in the relegation zone.

Pompy are, in fact, ten points clear of the bottom three but things have started to go wrong in recent weeks, as injuries take their toll. An FA Cup loss to Chelsea has been followed by three defeats in four league matches and it is 4/5 at Bet Victor that Blackpool inflict another loss at Bloomfield Road on Saturday evening.

That looks like a good bet as the Tangerines are really playing well at the moment. They are unbeaten in six games in all competitions and their penchant for late goals is paying dividends. The Seasiders have scored in the 90th minute of their last three Championship matches, two of which have turned draws into wins. It is 19/20 at Bet Victor that there is a goal after the 74th minute at Bloomfield Road and that looks a gift of a price.

A late Blackpool goal will probably not make much difference to the final result on Saturday as Ian Holloway's side should have wrapped up the points before the last 15 minutes. It is 21/10 at Paddy Power that they win by two or more goals and that looks a far better bet than the 4/1 at Sky Bet that the visitors win.
