Coral bookmakers make Southampton 8/13 to survive the drop back down next season, following their promotion to the Premier League.

The Saints are 6-5 to be relegated, 5-1 to finish in the top half and 80-1 to secure a top six finish.

West Ham are 7-4 favourites with Coral to join the Southampton in the Premier League next season by winning the play-offs. Birmingham are 13-5, Blackpool 3.1 and Cardiff the outsiders at 10-3.

Coral spokesman Gary Burton told us: “Nigel Adkins has worked wonders since taking over at Southampton, and we think he has the class to keep the Saints up next season.”

Coventry, Doncaster and Portsmouth were all relegated from the Championship and Coral make them 12-1, 12-1 and 14-1 respectively to win League One next season, and 3-1, 3-1 and 7-2 to be promoted.
