Lee Clark has emerged as the hot favourite to become the next Hull City manager, with an appointment expected soon.
The former Huddersfield boss is odds-on in places for the KC Stadium role and available at a best price of 13/8 with
BetVictor.
Hull are seeking a new manager after Nick Barmby was sacked for criticising the club’s board.
Barmby appealed against his dismissal, which has slowed down the search for a new boss, but his departure is set to be ratified in the next couple of days.
The Tigers were in contention for a Championship play-off spot this season until their form tailed off at the start of the run-in.
Clark was surprisingly shown the door by Huddersfield in February even though they were riding high in League One at the time.
Simon Grayson was appointed as his successor and has steered them to the League One play-off final at Wembley, in which they will play Yorkshire rivals Sheffield United.
The former Newcastle United midfielder has also been linked with the vacant West Brom job but his odds for that position have drifted to 8/1.
Mick McCarthy is the 10/1 second favourite with BetVictor for the Hull job but it is understood the ex-Wolves manager is not a serious contender, nor is his fellow former Sunderland boss Steve Bruce.
