Blackburn Rovers have been busy in the transfer market as they plot an immediate return to the Premier League – and manager Steve Kean is happy with the way his summer squad rebuilding job has gone so far.
Kean has snapped up Danny Murphy, Leon Best and Nuno Gomes since his team's relegation was confirmed less then two months ago.
Rovers have been cut to 10/1 by
Bet365 to win the Championship title in the 2012-13 campaign and to 10/3 to secure an immediate return to the top flight.
Kean's latest acquisition is teenage winger Fabio Nunes, who has penned a three-year contract after moving to Ewood Park for an undisclosed transfer fee from Portimonese SC in Portugal.
“On the back of an incredibly busy week, we are delighted to welcome Fabio to the squad,” said Kean. “He's an exciting player with clear potential and we are looking forward to seeing him push for a place in the senior squad.”
The only player sold by Kean since the end of last season is Nigeria international Yakubu, who has agreed to join Guangzhou in China.
